Calculator entries and downloads

The budget and savings calculators keep entered amounts in the memory of the current page. This application does not send those amounts to a server, connect to a bank, or save them in browser storage. Leaving or refreshing the page resets the entries.

If you download a calculator CSV, your browser creates the file on your device. Printing uses your browser’s print system. Completed downloadable worksheets remain in the copies you save; the website does not receive their contents automatically.

Reading and searching

The site has no reader accounts, email sign-up, advertising pixels, or application analytics scripts. Search terms appear in the page URL so the server can return matching guides. Avoid entering personal financial information into search.

Email you choose to send

Our editorial address is hello@pocketandplan.com. Email links open your email application with a draft; you choose whether to send it. An email can disclose your sender address, message, and any attachments you include. That correspondence is handled for the inquiry or correction you raise, including reviewing the issue and responding where appropriate.

Provide only the information needed to explain the issue. Use invented figures for calculator examples and redact screenshots. Do not send passwords, full account or payment-card numbers, identity documents, or another person’s private information. A correction report usually needs a page URL, the statement in question, and supporting evidence.

Email handling also involves the mail services used to send and receive it. Sending a message does not automatically publish its contents on the website. Contact the same address for a question about information you have voluntarily emailed.

Hosting and technical requests

Vercel hosts the site. Delivery and infrastructure protection can involve IP addresses, URLs, timestamps, and browser details in provider logs. Search queries may therefore appear in request URLs. We do not promise that infrastructure providers retain no logs.

Supported browsers may expose the budget calculator to a user-authorized on-page assistant. It uses the same visible fields and does not add server storage. Ordinary calculator use does not require an assistant.

External resources and future changes

Linked agency guidance, official product documentation, and other websites have their own privacy practices. Before adding forms, accounts, advertising, or tracking, this policy and any required reader controls must be updated. See contact information for the publication’s email channel.
