A little planning. More room for life. YOUR EVERYDAY MONEY JOURNAL
EDITORIAL POLICY

Our editorial commitments.

Last updated September 10, 2026

The reader’s needs come first

Our focus is household budgeting and general financial education. We do not give personalized investment, tax, legal, or debt-settlement advice. A challenge or savings target should never require someone to skip food, housing, healthcare, or essential bills.

Authorship and review

The launch byline is Pocket & Plan Editorial, the publication name. It is not a claim of a licensed adviser, certified planner, or named expert. Launch articles were produced with AI assistance. We identify primary sources and clearly mark illustrative examples. We do not claim that a qualified human reviewer has approved the material.

Future contributor profiles should describe real experience and qualifications. A professional review label may be used only when that review took place, with the reviewer’s name and scope visible.

Before publication

A guide needs an original explanation, a clear answer, checked relevant sources, appropriate limitations, and useful links to related guides or tools. A source link should actually support the associated factual statement. Copying a competitor’s wording, worksheet design, or named method is not our editorial model.

The content system checks required fields, dates, duplicate titles, internal links, and the presence of sources. These automated checks do not replace editorial judgment or expert review.

Corrections and maintenance

Material corrections should explain what changed and update the article date. Small typography corrections do not need a new substantive-update date. Guides should be reconsidered when their evidence changes; the system flags source reviews older than 90 days.

A dedicated public contact inbox has not been configured for this launch. We will publish a working corrections contact when one is established. We do not provide an unmonitored or invented email address.
